Summer Service Hours

Summer is a wonderful time to earn community service hours and do something good for those in need! Remember that students need 80 hours as a graduation requirement. It is a good rule of thumb to complete at least 20 hours of service for each year in school to stay on track.

What can I do?
Hours must be completed with a non-profit organization.
  • Camp programs like Counselor in Training (CIT) are NOT community service unless the camp is a non-profit or works with a non-profit organization.
  • Check with advisors ahead of time to confirm eligibility of service hours if you have questions..
The Community Service Google Classroom page will have less frequent updates during the summer months so plan ahead!
  • Sign up for the Google Classroom Community Service Page using the class code  j6tomsl
  • Check out Volunteer New York for up-to-date volunteer opportunities.

When to submit?
Students have until September 30th, 2021 to submit summer hours for approval in Passport for Good.
Incoming Freshman hours will be recognized starting July 1st, 2021.

How to submit?
Hours must be submitted to Passport for Good. p4g.app/bbrufsd for approval
